Donations
- Angel SponsorThe Holy Cross School Angel Sponsors' program is a student sponsorship program assisting families in need to meet the tuition costs for their children at Holy Cross School. There are three different ways to sponsor a student, as family needs vary:
-"If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother."
– "For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land."Donate any set amount to be put towards the tuition of a student attending Holy Cross School.

- Silent Auction
The Silent Auction is Holy Cross Catholic School's second largest fundraiser. Each year the Silent Auction is held in the month of April. This event is important as it is a big community builder - not only for the school community but also for the community at large. The night is full of great food, casino games, of course, silent and live auction items. We welcome anyone who is interested in having a night out of fun to come join us!
Holy Cross Catholic School is able to raise money at the Silent Auction by the donations of time, talent, and treasure of the community members. We receive many generous donations from local businesses, parish members, and families that we are able to use. We are grateful for such generous supporters and donors! - Education Fund
COST OF EDUCATION FUND:
The cost of providing each student a Catholic education varies from Catholic school to Catholic School. At Holy Cross Catholic School, the actual cost to education 1 student is $6200. The 2012 - 2013 tution plus fees is $3340. Parish subsidies (from Immaculate Conception, Lonsdale, St. Nicholas, Elko New Market, and Holy Trinity, Veseli) is $1500. The total of all three of these components is $4840. The difference between the actual cost and the tuition and subsidy being paid for 1 student is $1360.
The Cost of Education Fund has been established for supporters of Catholic education who would like to gift to Holy Cross Catholic School the difference of the actual cost of educating a student and the tuition/subsidy paid for that school ($1360 per student).
If you are interested in donating to Holy Cross Catholic School's Cost of Education Fund, please contact the school at (952) 652-6100 or send your donation to the school at 6100 37th Street West, Webster, MN, 55088.
Thank you for your support!
- Marathon
Kick-off for the Annual Marathon for Nonpublic Education is the second week of school. Holy Cross Catholic School participates in a "service" marathon in which each grade, Pre-K through 8th, does a community service project. The intention of the service projects is to teach our students the value of giving of oneself and helping their community.
Each K-8 family with one student is required to raise $100 in pledges. Families with multiple children are required to raise a minimum of $200.
The Marathon is launched by the annual Spaghetti Supper and concludes with the Harvest Dance where the Marathon winners are announced.
This year, the Marathon goal is $30,000.
- Donation of Time and TalentMany times at Holy Cross Catholic School there are opportunities for parents, parish members, and supporter to donate their time and talent. We are so grateful to everyone who year after year gives of themselves to ensure that our functions are successful. Ways to donate your time and talent:
Service Marathon: The Marathon for Non-public Education takes place at the beginning of the school year. A few years ago, Holy Cross Catholic School switched the marathon to one that is dedicated to service. Volunteers are needed to go with the various grades to their service destination and help with the completion of the project. Parents who volunteer to work a shift will get credit for one of their two required volunteer shifts.
Fish Fry: The Lonsdale FCSLA chapter teams with Holy Cross Catholic School on the first Friday of Lent to put on their annual Fish Fry. The Fish Fry is a local favorite, and many people from the community and beyond come to it. Many volunteer hours are needed for this event to be a success. This event is also an opportunity for parents to work their required volunteer shifts.
Silent Auction: The Silent Auction is Holy Cross School's second largest fundraising event. The Silent Auction required many hours of planning in addition to many hours of volunteer help at the time of the event. We welcome anyone who would like to serve on the Committee to please do so. Parents who join the Committee will fulfill ALL of their required volunteer hours for that current year.
Trader's Market: Holy Cross Catholic School runs the food stand at the Elko New Market Trader's Market every Memorial Day and 4th of July Weekend. Both weekends require many hours to man. Trader's Market is another opportunity for parents to fulfill their mandatory volunteer hours.
Crusader Parent Organization (CPO): The CPO is an important organization of Holy Cross Catholic School. CPO sponsors many activities that the students look forward to attending each year. The annual Spaghetti Dinner, Harvest Dance, Grandparent's Day, Mardi Gras Celebration, Bingo Night, and Graduation are all taken care of by the dedicated member of the CPO. They also do fundraising, such as the annual Poinsettia sales. All CPO members who participate in at least 80% of the CPO run activities receive full credit for their mandatory volunteer hours for the year. The CPO is always looking for new members to join!
Office and Lunch Volunteers: We are always looking for volunteers to help out in the office or in the kitchen. Many times office staff and teachers have small projects that they need help with in completing and are so thankful to the volunteers who come to help. If you have a few hours a week that you could dedicate in either of these areas, we welcome the help!
Room Parents: Every class is in need of at least two room parents each year. A room parent helps in coordinating events or occasions where there is parental involvement needed. For example, a room parent helps with gathering money and making the class item that is put into the Silent Auction.
Athletic Association: The Athletic Association could always use additional help with their sponsored events. The Athletic Association is in charge of several fundraising breakfasts, as well as the concessions that are served during home athletic events. The Athletic Association also hosts Holy Cross School's annual Summer Kick-off which is held on the evening of the last day of school.
